Ina & Matt: a Dutch design team

This one below is actually a birth announcement. Click the photo to see it larger.
I do enjoy seeing what designers from other countries come up with because they start from such a different vantage point than my own. I was introduced to the work of Dutch design group Ina & Matt on this lovely blog.  They are Ina Meijer and Matthijs van Cruijsen, architects and designers who have created and designed everything from barns in the country to restaurant concepts to corporate events and birth announcements.  Their style is relaxed, primitive/country and colorful. Check out some of the spaces they've designed on their site to see more.

Bright, eclectic and colorful

The top five photos are of stylist Anna Richardson's Victorian home in East Sussex. (photos: Paul Raeside/ styled by Mary Weaver)

I enjoyed these two homes featured in Living Etc. recently (January 2010). Maybe it's just therapy to gaze at lots of bright color on this gray, dark winter afternoon. The lower five photos are from Anya Hoffman's Cologne period flat. The Scandinavian colors and fabrics and the bright tile are so happy. Love those over-the-door bookshelves too! The home of a collector: Leif Sigerson's New York home

An interesting interior- Danish interior architect & set designer Leif Sigerson's home in New York. Full of vintage finds from all over the place, rustic collected objects, assemblages that mean something to him. I think it's clear he's a set designer- snippets of his rooms could be stage/ film sets for a story. (photos by Ditte Isager/ Elle Decoration Nov 2009)
